Yeah that seems to be the trend (from my amount of reading). I will say it is disappointing to see what would otherwise be perfectly good cars are put on a tow truck for something like this.

Nissan must be stepping up the production on these, because it would seem that the wait time is drastically decreased!

They must be anticipating massive failure to this part of their vehicles... Hopefully since they're upping production that means there might be a recall?

I'm curious, do infiniti G37's also have this same part? MY gf's G37 has been having random problems where the car won't start and a battery warning is on the dash (I've never been there when it happens), but then after awhile it starts.

i am pretty sure the steering lock was the fault both times. dealers sometimes can not diagnose the problem correctly and replace the IPDM, but it's really the intermittent steering lock.

I think all posting on the forum should be halted until we all collectively force Nissan to recall for this issue. There has to be some way to do it.

Took me 5 min total time!!
