It would be nice that anyone that had issues post pictures of the problem or damage.

i believe someone did post up picts in the past of this known problem.

sim, I have 'em. I had rubbing issues but it wasn't from the design of the engine covers. It was from the shotty designed hood I had before. There are visible rubs on my engine covers now but as I stated, it was not Password:JDM's design. Since switching to the Varis hood everything is good to go.

I would say that you should have no rubbing issues if you decide to get them.

I'm not trying to discredit Password JDM but I will give my experience with the only product I ordered from them. It was the full dry carbon intake system for my S2000. About a $1300 intake. The first one I got did not fit and had some major imperfections in the CF. They sent me a second one with very similar issues. Many of the wholes didn't line up, cf was bunched up and sanded down in corners, etc. They did offer to send me a third however I just got a refund. Customer service was good with the exception that they feel these fitment and fabrication flaws are acceptable with dry carbon. Now that was my first dry carbon product but I have had a number of regular cf products with no issues like this. I was a bit disappointed in the whole thing.

Why not just have CFE wrap your OEMs. Isn't he doing some interior for you anyways?

yes he is bro  thats my biggest debate.... i like the design of the passwords... the kool looking hump up top and then the bigger shroud on the bottom.... but if they have problems ill just have carbon do mine i guess...

Can't comment on mine, I drilled them out to slide over my hood struts in case I need emergency removal to access my battery or reservoirs.
The radiator shroud, I heard, had issues. I'm the third owner on mine and there is a good two inch crack on it. I'm fine with it though

sim i'll see if i can take a pic of the radiator cover i have on rin. there's some issues with it, but nothing serious.

Nikkolai 02-17-2012 06:11 PM

For how much they cost me, I was quite disappointed. Yea, the radiator cover rubs the hood and it's freaking hard to close the hood correctly. The brake fluid cover was rubbing up against the lever that holds the hood. The only one that fit fine was the battery cover.

I was one of the posters about that. There was something with the right side of the cover that was a little higher than the left not allowing the hood to close propperly.
Also the cutout for the hoodstrut clip was too small to fit the clip.
After talking with the folks at JDM, I was sent a UPS return label and after they recieved the part they told that they had a bad batch and are currently awainting for their cf people to provide them ones that are up to propper spec.
BTW I have their cf covers for the battery and fuse covers.
Those look and fit great. Now,I'm just waiting for the radiator cover.

thanks man!!! so maybe ill get the bat cover and fuse cover asap and wait on the radiator cover
