As far as I know, they haven't shipped the radiator covers. I called them about a month ago ( this all started in mid December) and at that time they were waiting..... as am I.

I might want to reorder them if they fix the fitment issues. Maybe kevlar this time.

Update on my radiator piece - it's rubbing on the underside of thehood. And it's hard to close the hood too. :icon14:

So i have the answer to this..... since i bought them :D

now... how can i describe the password jdm covers... hmmmm lets see.... ABSOLUTELY GARBAGE... f*ck the cooling plate it does not fit if my life depended on it... not to mention its rubbing somewhere and i have no idea where the hell its rubbing :shakes head: the carbon fiber quality is so poor... dull as **** in some spots, im definitely gonna have to reclear all the PWJDM covers :( not to mention when i first closed my hood it was uneven, higher on one side so i played with the rubber bumpers and evened out the hood... now it feels like there is so much tension on my hood when i open it.... feels like ill snap the cable when i tug on it to open it.... worst of all i ended up losing my hood struts.... because they were hitting the engine compartments :(

In all honesty i could care less about it being dull and hell in those spots, but thats what clear coat is for BUT at least FIT RIGHT... you know?! i mean this isnt a freaking knock off of another part. Its the real deal, not to mention these covers are pretty damn expensive and the fact the cooling plate dont fit right just pisses me off :shakes head:

Does anyone know how to fix the fitment issue with the cooling plate? i filed down some areas and made it fit my only concern is the way the tension feels on the cable release....

:shakes head::shakes head: that sucks man!

Was that piece from the late 2011 run, or early 2012? The later run fit far better and I have no issues with it.Attachment 60751

i just bought it december 2012.. the person i bought it from thirdgearperformance didnt carry them for a while.... so these are the V2 already :(

Sorry to hear bro. For as much as JDM parts cost, companies need to either pony up the refunds or do better R&D rather than making or obtaining a part from an outside source and slapping their name on it to make the quick buck.

This is why I have swayed away from modding aesthetic mods from OEM. Fitment issues are a headache and cost more money from the already overpriced part.

Simota, I feel your pain man. Hope you can get it fixed the right way.

sup man... yah fitment issues do suck.... i was able to work it out already though... they are just clearcoating them now so almost all done

I gotta keep up with these threads more. I didn't even realize that they make their covers as one whole piece instead of 2 like the stock ones come. I did this to my own 350z covers a couple years back. Molded them together and then cf'd the whole setup. Fit is 100% and I did some painting on them too. Ill get pics up hopefully later today so you guys can see.

That sucks sim, I was about to pull the triggers on these.

CFE, what's the difference with yours? Wet carbon wrap of OEM vs. Dry Carbon Replacement?

My top pieces (battery & brake) are great, but the radiator cooling cover rubs on the passenger side. :(
