Help with nismo bumper rivet

Does anyone with a nismo know how to take out the triangle looking rivet/screws on the bumper in the wheel well area?

Picture would help.

you mean the bottom of the wheel well that connects it to the lower diffuser? You have to break/cut it off.

With a flat screwdriver, pop the top out.

not sure the exact rivet, but i usually just drill through the head of the rivet to remove. :)

tjlazer 02-09-2012 04:12 PM

yeah be careful as you can damage the paint around the head.

kenchan 02-09-2012 04:14 PM

nnnn... in that case might not want to use the drill as the head can spin.

ah such a pain, guess I have to buy a rivet gun to replace the rivet too then...

No access for nut and washer?

PlazmaStrike 02-10-2012 08:33 AM

I just have to replace one on the bottom that holds the undertray (I think) to the bumper that came off. In rather have it look the same as the other rivets than put a random looking screw and nut. but thats just me lol

There are different screw heads available.

You mean these? Plastic Push Clips, Fender liners, Splash Shield 10 pack

kenchan 02-10-2012 06:17 PM

i think he's talking about real metal rivets?

I don't think they make screws that have the triangle head though
