Default SynchroRev Match Failure

A couple of weeks ago while driving home my 370Z had a powerr glich, reset navigation and radio. Later I noticed that the SynchroRev Match was off and would not turn back on. Along with the gear indicator on the dash, it works for R, N, 1, & 2, then goes blank after that. Finally took it into the dealer today and they want to blame it on the backup camera since it is plugged into the wire harness of the shifter.

Has anyone else had problems with their SynchroRev going out? I could only find one other post concerning this.

Besides unplugging the backup camera, any other thoughts on how to prove what caused the problem?

And it was recently as I recall too.

Not yet an issue for me. Good luck.

unhook the cam and take it to another dealership... I always do that sort of stuff to avoid idiot techs spouting nonsense to void a warranty.

Went to the dealer this morning and talked with service tech. After explaining how camera is tied to the display, he finally agreed that the camera was probably not causing the problem with the SynchoRev. He still does not know what the problem is, but was going to start with the switch and work his way to the transmission.

If the trans selector display isn't working properly I'd doubt it was the switch but who knows.

factory camera is tapped into the syncrorev harness or you did that with an aftermarket camera?

Sounds like either the sensor in the tranny went or you may have pwned your tach in the cluster.
