Pics of my new hood. What do do?

I just picked up a new carbon fiber hood, but I'm not sure what to do with it. I think it looks a bit to ricey the way it is...

Default Pics of my new hood. What do do?

I just picked up a new carbon fiber hood, but I'm not sure what to do with it.

I think it looks a bit to ricey the way it is... so I was wondering how I should paint it. Should I just paint the hood Brilliant Silver and leave the vents black?

Suggestions would rock.

Thanks Guys!

I think it is on the rice side but it really depends on what else you plan to do with the car.... you could make it work. There are a couple silver Z's with a carbon hood, spoiler, darker rims, carbon mirror over lays.....

But if you wanna keep a stock look then paint it and leave the vents black...

P.s.
black out them fangs!

I would paint the hood to match the car, and leave the vents exposed in carbon fiber like it is on the GTR. Make sure you go to a REALLY good body shop so that when its painted the carbon fiber doesnt show through since you have a lighter colored car.

Nice hood tho! Im thinking of getting one of these as well to swap out from time to time with my TS style hood.

Take a look at my albums to see how my car looked with the unpainted hood and then after I painted it.

I say go carbon fiber! Just accent the hood by putting more CF on the car!

Common, people are putting fake CF vinyl on everything nowdays

Paint it but in the bottom right corner near the headlight tape off a nismo logo and leave that unpainted. Leaving the hood with a carbon fiber nismo. Make the O in nismo a red vinyl if you wish.

I'd paint it and leave the vents CF to accent. CF on a street car is best when it's kept subtle, IMO.

There's nothing ricey about it!

I'm going to paint mine when the weather gets warmer but again I've been saying that since last year

Raw Carbon Fiber = Win but to each his own. I think some dark headlights and blacking out the fangs will go a long way.

i think

paint it,leave vents carbon fiber..or paint em black, and then start accenting elsewhere on the car, with either CF or black, depending on what you choose

If you don't like it in full CF then painting it while leaving the vents CF is a great way to go.

Have one of the guys in the photoshop thread PS it for you if are still undecided what it would look like.

Whats the theme for the rest of the car?

If you are tying the hood into other parts it would be awesome as is (darker wheels, Carbon Fiber fangs, diffuser, B Pillars or gloss black roof)

You could also paint most of the hood as many have done. I've just always found it odd to "add" weight to Carbon Fiber when the point is being lighter.
