Default Ings LX lip

Hi I am looking to do a few things with the 370 this year ie- wheels, front lip and spoiler. I am liking the Ings lx sports spoiler and side skirts but here in the UK i am surrounded by speed humps an crap roads, So i was wondering how much lower than the stock lip and skirts do the Ings sit?
The car is lowered on Eibach springs and the air deflector underneath touches quite a bit already. Thanks in advance for any advise

im not sure which lip you're talking about but if it's the one i have from Ings+ (CF splitter) the splitter has more clearance than the factory front under-chin aero diffuser. ive not scraped mine yet...well im at stock height.

I think it is the same type as yours Kencan, if you bought the one off dirTyshoesZ that i saw you were interested in a thread from last year. When you say the front aero diffuser do you mean the one that sits directly under the fangs or the one or the one that sits further back underneath just in front of the wheels?

I ended up buying a new one. It sits flush under the front bumper if you look at it from the top or the side. Then it extends to the sides to the front fender arch. There is no droop in the cosmetics, just the 5mm or so of the CF's thickness. That is all that its lowered to.

Just makes the rounded chin flat on the bottom so to speak.

In this pict you can see that I removed the front side deflectors that were forward of the front tires.

That's because the deflectors hung about 3/4 lower than the splitter and distorted the cosmetic line when I looked at the car from the front. The splitter has quite a bit of clearance.

Thanks kenchan ,thats cleared that up for me. With taking the aero deflector off, does it not affect the handling of the car in any way?

it's there only as a gimmicky fuel economy saving thing to minimize drag from the front tires. i hear it actually adds more lift so it would work against the splitter where they are designed to keep the nose down.

im not sure how effective the ings is though aerodynamically...it's imho more for show than function.

Question for those who have a front lip. I am going to be installing mine next week (currently it is getting painted and clear bra protected)

I have the holes drilled, what would you recommend for securing the lip? Do you use screws or are you removing the front and bolting it to the car? Any recommendations are welcomed.

chris- im using a bolt/washers/nut + thread lock blue (3 of them) on mine to secure it on the bottom.

i put my car on a ramp, drilled 3 holes on the factory bumper bottom and screwed them in. i am using mounting tape between the Ings and bumper to close any gaps and to prevent unnecessary scuffing.

Thanks, I will add the thread lock so hopefully, the 3M + bolt/washer/thread lock will secure the front lip on there.

When I had my Supra the lip I had was secured by bolts and I never had an issue so just using the self tapping screw made me a little uneasy.

I'll post pics once my car is done...Front lip is going on sometime next week and I'm ordering rims next month. (TSW Nuremberg)
