Experemeting with el wire!
I though it'd be cool to put some red el wire on the door panels.. So I bought some and it doesn't look too bad. What do you guys think?

It's like a rave in your car
Not bad... |
I'm up in the air. But like so many mods they can look 10x better in person. If you like it... Go for it.

My honest opinion is that it looks tacky but as long as you like it that's all that matters.

No that's too much for my taste but props to the OP for doing it himself. |
I'm not liking it but more powah to you :ugh2:
|
I like it can you take another pic with all the other lights off?
|
I was just messing around with it... But thanks for your input!

Love the vanity plate! |
Ha, I think it looks sweet... too bad I am 4 years behind the times

I have OEM LED light strips in my daily driver Buick Encore, across the top of the dash and across all four doors. The blueish-greenish hue is actually quite nice in the evening. Your $ and time is well spent if you enjoy it.

I like the doors.

Too many lights inside the cabin in my opinion, but you do you. Pictures in the daytime will show your crafstmanship, though. For all we know you electrical taped it in. I think that's the bit that really counts in the end.

Mounting the wire
Quote:
How did you mount it, did you wedge it in between or glue it on? My wire appears to be too thin to wedge so thinking of gluing. Any idea which glue to use. Is the hot glue gun recommended for interior use? |
What color wire did you tap into. I want the lights to turn on after ignition.
