I have had my lid open one other time while driving since '09, and I always assumed I left it open by accident, but now I realize that it probably opened due to a bump in the road before the doors locked.

One way the problem could be fixed is by changing the firmware to lock the doors as soon as the wheels move at all, instead of 15mph or so. Although I don't know how hard that would be or if it's even possible

I just had the car washed yesterday, but i go to the outdoor ones where you wash it yourself just using their water and tools... Crazy that it ripped off, its a good heads up for people who go to those types of car washes to make sure the doors are locked, I would have never thought of that.
