Plasti Dip over spray...
Anyone else have a rough time getting the over spray off?! Maybe because its super cold in my basement? I tried washing, even clay bar and the little specs are still everywhere... Dont really want to resort to using dw40, and better idea? Thanks...

What's the overspray on? WD40 won't hurt 99% of stuff. Bug & Tar remover might be an option, too.

yah, i ran into the same shitt when i tried plasti-dip in my garage. i used clay bar.
WD40 wont hurt, but you will need to wash and wax cause WD40 will dissolve wax/polymers. |
I find a good Terri cloth and firm rubbing works well... *my opinion

Spray thicker coats so it builds up and easier to peel

Use this:
http://www.repaintsupply.com/prod_im.../Prep-All1.jpg Spray it on a rag, wipe it off. It also works great to remove plasti-dip from anything without harming the surface. Make sure you clean it really well after with soap and water. |
Use tape to remove overspray, like clear box tape. I spent 30 minutes spraying that stuff and it took me hours to remove the dip from the grooves in the bumper near the exhaust.

Did my rear section also today. By the time I was done it was to dark to take pics.

I cleaned it with rubbing alcohol and a soft cloth. Worked great. Afterwards used a spray on quick wax.

Looks great
