Default Lowering stock seat G mod

Hi guys, I know there a couple of threads on trying to lower the stock seat position, but none of them answer my question.

I'm in Australia and Nissan doesn't sell the G coupes domestically here and though there are Japanese imports around, I don't know anyone with one to compare.

On the G35/37 coupes as per the thread I've posted below, it seems you can adjust the stock seat height by adjusting a bolt/nut on the back underside of the seat - granted the G seats seem to be electric height adjustment compared to the Z manual winders.

My question is, do the 370z seats have a similar mod to wind them down further? I'm 6'3", I fit, but I'd like a little more headroom.

Any help appreciated.

I don't know if the base seats are gonna do that. Maybe only power seats...

Yeah I've looked at recaro sportsters, but at $2600 per seat, I'm wondering if there is a cheaper option.

Aussie Zs have power adjustment for the seat back and sliding forward/back adjustments, but manual winders for the seat height. Not sure if US Zs are the same?

I'm wondering if a similar method to the G seat mod can be applied to the winders...

I'm with you fuct, I'd love to have a bit extra room on the cheap. Seems like not everyone was aware of the g mod.

Anyone tried anything for the stock seats?

God I hope someone finds a way to do this on the base seats. Im 6ft tall and there is no way I could wear a helmet while driving this car.

lol, I know that my head would be bumping the roof with a helmet. Hell, I'm brushing the roof occasionally with my hair.

We can always recline the chair more but that compromises visibility...

There has been a few members on here that have pulled the seats apart to get the pressure sensors out of them etc., I'm waiting for them to chime in to see if it's possible. Nissan always seems to have a bit extra room for these sorta things.

i'm 6'2" and i always have to fix my hair again before i step out of the car.
the seat is already at it's lowest setting and i know i'm not fitting a helmet in there with a 1 finger gap in the correct upright seating position.

i was wondering if anyone found a lower seat bracket that'll fit the stock seats. a 3" drop would be nice.

The stock seat rails are integrated into the seats, so you can't replace them unfortunately.

Looks like there is no help out there! C'mon, someone has to have had the seat out the play with the winders. May have to try myself!

Old thread I know, but I just took a look at my Roadster seats and they don’t look like the pictures posted in the G37 threads. Not saying it’s not possible, but it apparently involves more disassembly than I’m willing to take on. I don’t want anything happening to my heated / cooled functions.
