There is no way I can get it far enough in without hitting something... I suppose if you ran it up on some 4x4s then maybe but I haven't tried that. I'd be hard pressed to find a jack long enough to be able to do that with a low profile but it might exist.

Damn that's what I thought... would have made life a little easier.

Hopefully I can reach it through the wheel well.

I have a Nismo - so may need to get up some 2x4's for the body kit. Thanks - I'll get the harbor freight jack and see if that works.

Yes, you'll need a little boost to reach the center jack point. A 2x4 should be enough.

Low Profile Floor Jack - 2 Ton, Rapid Pump® Jack

I have this jack and it's fantastic. Really low profile and long reach make it much better than most for our cars. It also has a really good lift height, more than any of my jack stands will ever need. It's a great price for what it does mainly because it's NOT aluminum. So it's heavy, but besides that it is fantastic.

also, will a 1.5 jack work? I was thinking about getting a 2-ton but the 1.5 is cheaper?

I think a 1.5 is probably fine as you will never be lifting the whole car with it. There is a thread somewhere around here showing the lifting points. Or you could just download the service manual. For the front lift point a small block of wood is best IMO.

anthoney it looks like u used ur small jack to raise the side then fit the low profile jack underneath to reach the center jack point if i am not mistaken? is ur car lowered?

anyone using race ramps?
interested in the RLL-87-2 from reverse logic

however only raises to 10 inches. do u think this is enough height to get in for oil changes, change out the sway bars, etc? access to the catalitic converter? how about reversing it onto the ramp so i can install my own catback?

also i guess i could use it to raise the car up a bit to reach front jack point, then jack it and place jack stands.

so another question lol (hey just trying to save money on installations here and have some fun, but SAFETY IS

my main conern is safety.

so also, once i get the front jack uped and onto jackstands, how then do i jack the back (using rear differential) without having the car slip off the front jack stands (or is it pretty stable?) come on this aint that hard.

Not my car, but that looks like what he did.
Ramps are perfect for oil changes and I will be using ramps for CBE install.
For rear diff and tranny oil changes, I would recommend a lift or 4 jack stands.
Safety is super important to me as well - just be sure to have your car on a completely level ground and use wheel chocks.

So this might sound gay but this is the procedure:

First use ramp so can get jack to jack point, chok the rear, then
Jack up the front, place the 2 jack stands, the remove jack,
And jack up rear differential, place the next to jack stands
An wala? Right? Will the front stay steady on the 2 jacks when u jack up the back?

No Idea - I'm a newbie w/ a Nismo. I figured I dont want to spend more in jacks than I would be saving by doing the work myself (plus the added comfort). So I was going to use the factory jack and jack stands... and then also considered getting a racing jack if needed to lift the car like done in the picture.
