Default Need Help : Stillen Fascia

Dear All,

I really love my Z and being my 1st sports car I love it even more !! But I always wanted the Nismo as it looks more aggressive (But we dont have the Nismo here in India !!) and I like having spoiler on a sports car !! So I have decided to get the APR GTC 200 wing.

As for the front I wanted the amuse fascia but again as I have informed people here in an earlier thread here in INDIA the town where I live has some roads which have potholes and I cant avoid those roads on a daily basis (Of course we got excellent roads as well ).

Anyways after a bit of research I have two options to either get a lip which doesn't lower the car but only extends the front bumper (I prefer the Mines but is too expensive and no one is offering a replica). Second option I felt which fits my purpose and also doesn't lower the car too much is the Stillen Fascia.

I got in touch with Josh from Stillen and Mike who has the Stillen front and they both informed me the Stillen front is not too low in comparison to the stock so should be ok (At present I have no issues with those pot holes if I am slow going over them).

But ..... I cant avoid the incline in my own home. The pictures are attached. Although the pics make the situation scary but I have a feeling that it might not be too bad with the new front if I am slow.

Now please if people who have come across the Stillen Fascia and even others who can help me can suggest if the new Fascia will be ok or not.

I really want a more aggressive look but dont want to destroy my front in my own house !! Also getting stuff imported is a pain as the shipping prices are crazy and I have to pay 25 % import tax on the price+shipping

Any help will be appreciated !!

It's probably going to scrape, as it's longer than the stock bumper. Also, don't forget that urethane parts don't like excessive heat, which India obviously has a lot of, so expect the bumper to sag a little bit in the middle when exposed to heat.

Honestly, if you want the Mine's, just buy the real thing. If you buy the Stillen bumper, you're gonna end up paying almost the same after the shipping (I'm assuming it's not cheap to ship a big ***, heavy bumper box to India).

On top of that, the fact that you own a 370z in India kinda indicates that you're doing all right for yourself since they're expensive cars there, and paying a little bit more for the real Mine's part is probably doable for you in the long run.

Thanks for the reply !! I am still waiting for the shipping quote from Josh of Stillen !!

You think the Mines lip will be ok ? Also the Urethane getting Saggy is something new for me !! Yea my car is normally parked outdoors and it can get as hot as 50 degrees Celsius - 122 F !!

You could go with a nismo s-tune it doesn't lower the front at all. I went that route because, like you, my drive way is very steep and I've got some big speed bumps around my house.

I am pretty sure there is a company working on a mines replica at the moment if you wanna just hold off a bit. Also as to the whole urathane sagging I don't think temps there get to 200+ degrees so yea that won't happen the factory bumpers are urathane is that one sagging?
