The white plastic piece was shaved down half way and it wouldn't work.
These knobs are specially designed for the 370z. It has. Few more parts then the 350z.
We also wanted to try using the manual console instead of the automatic because it looks cleaner.
So would it be possible to makeshift a new stick to accommodate the 370Z? I'm not saying you guys need to make it. I'm just curious about what you think?

I swear the knob will go on and work without removing the white plastic piece. Did you try moving the aluminum inner collar (the piece with the set screws) further up? As far up as it would go? I'm just not sure if you tried to move the collar as high up as it would go (and still function) so that the white plastic stick can fully retract.

If you can remove the white piece, the knob can sit lower. That is the only piece that prevents the knob from sitting lower. If the white piece cannot be removed, then small modifications to the knobs design will have to be done to make it work.

We didn't have to remove the white plastic piece. Some people are saying that they want the knob to sit lower. Trying to figure out a way to make the knob sit Lower.

Well on my vehicle, there is a metal shaft underneath the plastic piece. You can literally just pull the plastic piece off. But now I see what you saying... I guess they made the white plastic piece non-removable. Any way to see if that plastic piece goes all the way down or if it is sitting on top of another stick?

I just want to say I truly appreciate you trying to make it lower. It would look so hot if you succeed? Thanks.

To be honest, I will take a lot of modification to make the shift knob sit lower. I am open to ideas to make it lower and cost effective.

Yeah, his DIY is what I used as a basis for what I did. Honestly, I wish I could have just waited for your conversion kit to come out, but what can I say, I'm impatient.

But I'm very interested in the knob so looking forward to what you guys can put to market.

I was thinking that alot of guys will prefer having the shift boot and shift knob combo rather then having the manual console swap plus the knob. What do you guys think?

Also we have custom shift boots, any color and stitching. We also have CF boot.

Maybe you should post some pics of what you have already for the 370. My only issue with the post being so high is the boot looks sloppy and big yet the ball looks small compared to the boot. The 350z carbon fiber shift knob was so well executed, I was hoping to replicate the way the boot sat in the console.
I wish I had a suggestion in terms of helping but I know very little about those types of mods. I should say I know nothing in that area. I just know what I find visually appealing. I would love to see what you have in terms of looks for the current height now..

agree. pics of whats in the works right now are helpful.

i think that if theres going to be a boot,it needs to fit "snug" and not look baggy or loose. IF theres a boot.

i think most ppl will agree, that the main concern is to get that knob to sit lower. after that, work on all the other goodies
