Clear Amber Bulbs on Amazon?

Hey guys,

Im looking to remove the "Yolk" from my taillights but cant seem to find the right bulbs on Amazon. I wanted to add them to my online list from Amazon to get free shipping. Anyone have any ideas?

I found some LEDs that light up amber at O'Reilleys when I painted my tails over the weekend. The bulbs were a bit large and I had to dremel them and the housing a bit to get them to fit, but they look great now.

Do they blink fast now?

I think I got mine at the Z Store.

Yes they do.. But it doesn't really bother me.

pull out the amber bulb and spray paint it silver. done. it will still illuminate amber. :)

Amazon.com: stealth turn signal bulbs

Didn't check the size on any, but here's a bunch of "stealth" bulbs on Amazon.

Yea i saw those, just seem expensive. Didnt know if there were any others i missed or another type that would fit or if there was an LED that would work, that would just plug in and not have to do anything to, and not blink fast...

kenchan 12-06-2011 10:34 AM

yah, like use factory bulb, spray paint it silver and be done with this silliness.

Pelican170 12-06-2011 02:23 PM

I was told that the 7443's will also work for the 7440's, incase anyone cares lol

:rofl2:

I hate the yellow indicator lamps in the rear tails, how hard are they to replace? I'd want them swapped out for white bulbs.

kenchan 12-06-2011 03:29 PM

check the fog lamp install DIY. you have to pull out the trunk liner to get to the bolt/nut holding the assembly in place. imho not worth the work unless you're planning to install the foglamp and rear view camera and dynamat trunk at the same time.

Astrosfan 12-06-2011 03:29 PM

kenchan 12-06-2011 04:02 PM

SoCalZ 12-08-2011 04:32 AM

Z Store has them

The Z Store! Nissan-Datsun 240Z-260Z-280Z-280ZX-300ZX(Z31/Z32)-350Z-370Z Parts: SALE! Stealth Turn Signal Bulbs, Rear, 09-12 370Z

Umm.... "clear amber"? That doesn't make sense.

TypeOne 12-08-2011 04:44 PM

7440 is going to be for the rear... these DO NOT work in the front lights.

I bought some from here: The site looks sketchy but they are legit.

Tail Light Brake Light Turn Signal LED Bulbs

The 7443 is going to be for the front... Sylvania says the 7444s fit, but I can not find them to save my life. I tried to buy the single filament for the fronts and they didn't' work.. they have to be dual.

Well, I bought the bulbs on amazon and the seller stated that the 7443's will work for 7440's. So i guess we will see once I get a chance to try and put them in...

TypeOne 12-09-2011 10:09 AM

They might... it just depends on what type of socket and circuit it is. The front bulbs use a dual circuit, or dual filament, which I have no idea why because they only blink. But if you put single filament bulbs in the socket, they won't do anything. I tried using the 7440 for the front and they did nothing.

The bulbs I spent $30 on that were "supposed" to work, didn't... so I ended up having to use clear bulbs in the front that blink clear. I'm going to change all of my blinkers to LEDS and wire in the control boxes soon... so it's not that big of an issue now.

Gotcha. These are going in the rear blinker so we will see what happens when I get around to doing it..
