Tail light tint

Hey guys, ive been searching the forum, and cant find a tail light tint kit anywhere online. None of the shops local to me will tint my tail lights :-( Is there a pre-cut kit available? And would you recommend painting them? Thanks!

I've seen both in person. I think painted looks a 100 times better, but of course it's permanent so you can't change your mind without changing tails.

Precut tints are going to be extremely difficult to make perfect on our lights with all the contours and curves. You most likely wouldn't be happy with the end result. Painting them isn't really that hard. I'd do it for you for 30 bucks if you lived near me..

Really? None of the shops will do this?
You did go to an auto glass tint service shop right?
I've had layover film before and it looks just as good as paint. Not to mention when I sold the car I just peeled them off after 2 years...

Please no!

I've had both and painted does look MUCH better. I had them tinted from a tint shop at first, but it started bubbling so I got a refund. You can contact blue batmobile for the pre-cut tints, but I definitely think they will look better painted

Take it to a tint shop and have them do it.

Having them sprayed looks a lot better, imo, but it's a bit too "permanent" for my tastes.

Also, if you are considering it, please don't put any overlays on your headlights. If you want to go that route, paint the housing instead. The overlays will cause stress cracks in the headlights, but the led tails are fine.

A proper paint tint job will look amazing. Here is mine after I had mine done professionally back in 2009:

Thanks for the input guys! Looking good! Probably going to get them painted. It does look a lot better. Now to find a place that will do it.... I live in Maine, and there is not a whole lot of places that do stuff like that. But on a good note, the car is going away for the winter soon, so worst case i can find a place between here and NY (where my gf lives) and take them out and drop them off and have them done up proper :)

Awesome! Any good body/paint shop should be able to do it. That's where I got mine done from. Good luck and be sure to post pics once you get it done
