I want to know if the hood of the 370z is aluminium or what?

Which raises the question:

Is carbon fiber hood lighter than the stock aluminum? If not by alot, is it purely for aesthetic reasons?

The carbon fiber hood is only several pounds lighter. Purely aesthetic I would say. I would put those funds towards something else
