Has anyone done this and or how do you think it would look? I was thinking of removing the black grill slates between the fangs. Just cut them out and file them down neatly to look clean. Any thoughts?

I used a rotary tool, to cut everything out. 600 grit sand paper to get all the notches smoothed out, then go over with a finer grit paper, prep and re paint the whole area. I painted all the plastic including the thin plastic strip above the grill opening. Makes everything look legit. Depending on where you drive and what kind of roads your on, goes hand in hand with the risk imo.
only recent pic I have. ![]()

That was a custom modified stock front fascia fitted with a GTM TT Kit. It was that body shop's first attempt to modify a 370Z fascia. Leveling the intercooler in relation to the fascia would have been impossible unless you started cutting up the intercooler, altered piping and started changing out couplers.
The issue you see with the bottom two~three rows is an issue with the fascia, NOT the GTM Intercooler kit. |
