Did anyone's rust after a couple of months? I popped a tire recently and had to use a stock one. So now I'm thinking of an after market one.. Are they universal? What happens at high speed with the tow hook with the flap? Does it move around?

The stock one shouldn't rust from sitting in the trunk, no. No idea if the flappy one flaps on suspension bumps at speed, but why would it matter?

Mine hasnt rusted yet. It doesn't move around, and you can tightened it if it does.

I was told the bolts that hold the U shaped color part to the black piece are what rusts. You can go to the hardware store and get a stainless steel one. I ended up spraying the two black bolts with black primer since I had some in the garage. And yeah, you can tighten it up so it doesn't flap.

This might be a stupid question but how do i take the stock bracket to put the took hook in??
