Accidentally figured out a super-easy way to do these:
On my first attempt, I measured and then cut them a little oversized. When I put the first one on, I didn't like the way (a) you could see the edges of the Di-Noc and (b) that you could see the valley where the warning is heat sealed. So I pulled it off (it was just lightly stuck). Then I noticed something-there was an outline of the edges of the decal in the adhesive. So I took a look at how far past the edges the heat sealed part went past the 'high' edge and into the valley. Took a pair of scissors and trimmed around the impression in the adhesive the amount of the margin. It was about 1/8" or so. Put it back up and it fit perfect - the edges of the Di-Noc sit right at the edge of the valley so it's perfectly flush. So you're basically creating template and then trimming around it to leave a margin to cover the depressed area. It allows you to follow the actual outline, including the corners. Mine aren't perfectly square so measuring wouldn't have worked well anyway. The biggest trick to this is to just lightly attach it first to make your template in the adhesive. |

Where can I get that arm mod? Does that attach to the window sill or the outside of the car? How does the wind at driving speed effect it? I'd love to get that, it would keep both of my hands free for driving. Can I get it in CF? |

I am new to Z's but those stickers are a real bother. Has anyone tried to apply heat or naphtha to rid the visor of those ugly things? How about blacking the things our.

Covering them is about the only way, they can't be removed without damaging the visor.
I actually had the dinoc at first but one of them wouldn't stay stuck for some reason. I ended up buying a pair of kids black spandex pants at Wal-Mart for $5, cut the bottom of the legs off, and just slipped them over. They stretched on for a snug fit and no one even notices them. An option for those on a budget!

Disadvantage: You can't open the mirror to see how fabulous you are. Advantage: Should you ever need to rob a bank, your stocking mask is handy. |
