Nissan 370z Raised Hood Kit / Hood Spacer Kit
Hey Guys,
We recently started a new company and for our first product we went ahead and developed a simple Hood Spacer Kit / Raised Hood Kit. Our site is not yet developed which is; raisedhoods.com. I'm aware that the 370z may not need a raised hood kit because it's brand new car, but you may benefit from extra heat exhaust especially if you live in a heavy traffic city. Also it adds aggression to the look. I understand not every one likes this look or believes it's beneficial. Since I do not have my 370z yet, We are open to sending this kit for free to the first person to PM there info. In return we would like some good quality pictures. They will be featured on our auctions and web site. Thank you! |

A LOT of people are doing this to their cars in the Civic crowd. It's to the point where people are going to Home Depot and buying washers to do the same thing. It just makes it look like your car was involved in a front end collision and you forgot to fix the hood. With that being said, I look forward to seeing what your product looks like.

I absolutely agree. It's kind of a cheap/ghetto look if you ask me.

I told you guys not every one was a fan of this modification. There are professional drifters, drag racers and many daily drivers that use this modification for many reasons.
Also it's been reported that different makes and models have different results. This is not a new mod in fact it's old school. Quote:
We appreciate all feedback and we do understand that this is something not every one finds to be a great looking mod. Then again not every one thinks Megan Fox is FINE. (NOT!) |

But I'm in finance. So I understand that there's a market for this product and people like you and me... we go where there's a market.

To be honest I never picked up on the fact that this was in fact a "mod".. but I'm sure with some engines and configurations the cooling benefit could be realistic. Thinking back on cars I've seen, I now realize I've seen some (and you're right, most likely in the civic-world) that have done this exact thing.
Good luck with it, it will be interesting to see how the 370Z market reacts to this type of product available. I'm sure you'll get the feedback you're looking for. If they do be sure to do your part and sponsor the forum.. |

I wouldn't go that far. It doesn't sound like an appealing solution for me personally, but it's possible that this is a cheap method of getting some real heat extraction. Nothing wrong with that if you don't mind sacrificing the looks of the car.
