No worries guys, I take nothing personal. This is a world were we are entitled to our own opinions and choices. Selling to the 370z community is not going to make or break the business model. We would just like to offer it as an option if any one is interested.
I may just use this " Racing Inspired Cosmetic Enhancement" for marketing purposes =), thank you! Just to clarify why it's mostly seen in the civic world. There is a certain JDM engine swap that they do that does not allow for their original hood to close, so they do a hood spacer modification. Last edited by Mak; 05-15-2009 at 01:54 AM. |

Yes, this is an old school trick. My concern is how it might potentially affect the intentional design of the hood for safety reasons. Not my cup of tea, but it would surely make sense in an overheating situation if you could automatically lift the rear of the hood, allowing better flow through.

Just got our first auction on eBay, let me know what you guys think about the format, and if there is any way that you guys think that may make the product stand out. I appreciate all feedback.

Mak, for what it is worth, I like the design aspect of the advertisement on eBay, the "double screen" dark rectangle and the green lettering works for me

Along these same lines, someone (travis?) was talking about removing the plastic bits around the base of our wiper blades to achieve the same effect, opening a gap for heat extraction. I think he removed his wipers completely though. I'm not sure if it would work out to remove the plastic bits and keep the wipers.

Graph shows the difference between the sealing gasket on and removed over a short road course, with a period of idling at the end on an 80 degree day... Last edited by Modshack; 05-15-2009 at 01:33 PM. |

These guys have asked me to do some dataogging for them. Don't think this is my style, but some good information should come out of it...Particularly for the track guys...My car won't be out of the shop for two weeks, but we'll see what we can come up with then..
