Yea, that is a WHOLE other thread there. And one soooo full of opinions, that it would go nowhere. It just depends on you. A lot of people will not buy a replica, I personally would prefer to have the real deal, but get tempted by the much more affordable replicas....

I have never seen the two side by side but as far as pics go I cannot tell the difference. Like I said before it comes down to the installation and paint that makes the look.

I would think the difference between real vs replica is more in the prep required to get it to fit and look right. i.e. needing bondo to get rid of low spots from bad molding.

I realized I was in the wrong lane at a stop light. I didn't have any cars behind me, so I proceeded to back up and get in the correct lane. A car pulled out of a gas station at the same time. Stupid mistake on my part, luckily the guy I hit had a beater so he didn't care. I could probably pop out the dent, I will post a picture soon.

I have a problem with cosmetic mods (painted headlights, body kit, even anything too close to a bumper, like forced induction piping/intercooler) only because as careful as I am, someone else who likely is less careful could potentially smuck me...should that happen, say bye bye to the mod. You would run the risk of insurance not covering the full amount that you paid for that mod, so I would opt to go with a replica body kit if it is significantly cheaper (and looks similar in fitment and quality) than the real Amuse kit. The potential loss won't be as big. My $0.02.

Just my $0.02 cents, but the Amuse kit has been done to death. It's a really great looking kit, but with all the replica's out there, it has lost it's apeal to me. There are plenty of other options out there, but I suppose it's really up to you. Just so you know, this kit sits really low, even without lowering springs/coilovers. As with any kit, there is always some fine adjustments involved, even if you go with the "real" Amuse kit. There are plenty of real vs fake threads on here that you can read and judge for yourself. Personally, I'd rather spend a bit more for the authentic stuff. For the most part, they are usually superior in quality (that's not to say replicas can't be as good).
