LED Strip & LED Turn Signals, Parking, Reverse, Map Dome, License Plate & Trunk
LED Strip & Complete LED upgrade to ALL interior/exterior lights. This includes, parking lights, turn signals, reverse lights, license plate, map dome & trunk.
This is NOT a DIY thread as there are many already out on the forum. I may in the future update this page with links to the DIY threads. It IS a source thread for the parts, suppporting our forum vendor ThirdGearPerformance (thanks Jon) http://www.the370z.com/body-interior...light=gear%27s And a couple of outside vendors that ThirdGearPerformance could not provide at the time due to their source across the pond stopped making the product. The other two vendors are: V-LEDS.com IJDMTOY.com So on with the parts list. Below are the links instead of quoting prices I paid as they have already gone up with some vendors. I would suggest working with Jon from ThirdGearPerformance directly, he is one our forum vendors and can work up a package deal. IJDMTOY, I worked with Thura over the phone for all of my purchases. Map Dome, Trunk, License Plate thru ThirdGearPerformance all take this part #... 2 (One Pair) T10 194 168 Wedge Base 5 SMD LED White Reverse Lights thru ThirdGearPerformance takes this part #... 2 (One Pair) T10 194 168 Wedge Base 15 SMD LED White Parking Lights thru VLEDS takes this part #.... 2 V-LEDS 6K WHITE 194 13 LED LIGHT BULBS 158 168 2825 Turn Signals front and rear thru IJDMTOY under this part # 18 SMD 7440 7443 LED Bulbs | Turn Signal Lights, Back Up Lights, Tail Lights And the LED Strip thru IJDMTOY under this part # Audi A5 R8 Style LED Strip Lights | LED Headlights | LED Driving Lights Note: I would suggest buying two sets of the LED strips, just in case you get a DOA. It's a lot easier to swap out a DOA when you already have the front bumber off versus having to install bumper and request an RMA from vendor. Out of the three 370Z's there was only one strip that was DOA, not bad for 1 out of 6 installed. The LED strips were wired into the parking lights. Anyway here are some snaps. https://lh4.googleusercontent.com/-8...shrp.JPG?gl=US https://lh5.googleusercontent.com/-S...shrp.JPG?gl=US Parking lights are much brighter when purchased thru V-LEDS. https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-t...shrp.JPG?gl=US No more egg yokes (turn signals) these are white and uliminate in amber when the turn signal is activated. https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-W...shrp.JPG?gl=US https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/-s...shrp.JPG?gl=US https://lh4.googleusercontent.com/-L...shrp.JPG?gl=US https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/-1...shrp.JPG?gl=US https://lh4.googleusercontent.com/-t...shrp.JPG?gl=US https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/-G...shrp.JPG?gl=US https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-5...shrp.JPG?gl=US https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-E...shrp.JPG?gl=US https://lh5.googleusercontent.com/-z...shrp.JPG?gl=US https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/-I...shrp.JPG?gl=US |
I'm looking to do the parking lights and license plate lights, this made it easy for me to find out where to buy them and what parts I need.
Thanks for putting this together. |

V-LED had brighter parking LEDS than ThirdGearPerformance. |
Hey Man..Came across this post and was interested to know if these strip lights can be inserted without removing the bumper. Also, IJDMTOY offers a strip that has a switch back from white to amber when using the turn signal.
Does this strip do the same thing? |
Bumper should come off for a secure and straight mount. Mine do not switchback, they look cool thou. Those came out after I had already purchased my set.

The light strip look thin enough to just move the bumper a bit by the headlight to insert them at the base. Do you think that would work? |
Clear bra here also. Yeh you could try it, note they mount on the underside of the lamp.

Thx |
I did this light install with the iJDM strip and YES you can get the strip under the light but I have no idea how you would wire it to the parking light. I had to remove bumper and headlight in order to get to the wiring. Even if you wired it straight to the battery and installed your own switch I'm not sure how you could feed the wiring through w/o bumber removal.

The strip looks cheap I'm sorry to say. If any LED's should be done, MR Works and 180 headlights do amazing work.

Can you get pulled over by the police using the ultra blue LED strip?

I have been right behind a cop even bumper to bumper at Stop sign and still haven't (knock on wood). I kinda doubt that it is legal at all so now with a fast, white, windows tinted, and finally blue LED strips I am probably increasing my chances :( Honestly, I am going to switch the blue out for the Xenon whites when I get around to it. When they say Ultra Blue they ain't blowing smoke up you butt! They are ULTRA blue! Don't get me wrong I love the look but I am a bit on the worried side that I'm gonna get picked off because of it. |
