civic si seats
So I was car shopping with my girlfriend and we were at Honda looking at Civics. They didn't have any regular coupes for her to see so we sat in the Si to get a feel for the coupe. I really liked the Si seats, they were super comfortable. I was wondering if anyone knew if maybe those seats could be put into our Zs. Anyone have any knowledge of this or aftermarket seats that are very similar to the Si seats?
Thanks! |
Might as well look into Bride, Recaro, Status, Sparco.....

Theoretically provided the sizing of the seats is the same, any seat could be used provided brackets are made... :ugh2:
Although you have to assume you'll never hear the end of ridicule if another Z driver sees honda seats in one.. |

I'm 5'8", 175lbs and light to medium, semi-athletic (used to be in shape, in the process of falling out of it). If anyone with a similar build has seat recommendations, I'd love to hear them. |

the Z's seats feel just a bit narrow for me. If there was just a few more inches between the angled side cushions both on the back and on the bottom cushion, they would be great. They're ok now, I finally think I have it adjusted about right but with a little more width, they would be so much more comfortable

The si seats are made by recaro, and a very similar version is available.

For instance, STATUS has a seat called the Ring, which if I were racing tomorrow, I'd want. But they also have the Ring GT, which is the exact same seat, just wider, and more comfortable for extended sittings or for daily use. |
Thanks, I'll look for GT seats. The Recaros are pretty pricey. I'll check out the Corbeaus. If anyone knows a good sit with good prices and maybe good specs/measurements, that would be much appreciated.
Thanks |
Will a seat come with the brackets or whatever I need to put into my Z or is that something I need to research and buy separately?
|
You'll likely have to buy the brackets separately.

So some of these Corbeau seats are interesting. Does anyone know what the deal is with the inflatable lumbar support? Is it built in or is it a pad that goes on top and how does it inflate? Also, how do I know which bracket I need for a seat.
