Anyone thinking about swaping out 370Z seats?

Has anyone actually installed seats yet? I autocrossed my car a few weekends ago and I had to hunch over, because with a helmet on my head hits the roof.

All I would need is an extra 2-3 inchs of clearance. I am assuming that because aftermarket seats wont have all the motors and crap under them that the stockers do they will sit lower to the floor. Can anyone confirm this? I would probably opt for a cheaper seat and just swap it in before events rather than have an expensive one that would remove the airbag and be a little too restrictive.

There's not much under the base seats but they are mounted at the same height as the touring seats that do have motors. Racing seats will definitely sit a little lower and potentially a lot lower depending on whether you use a rail kit or just bolt them directly to the floor. They're not that easy to swap out quickly unless you fab up some custom mounting solution.
