Yea I would say, if I would going to spend that much. I would just tack on an extra $100 - $200 and get something like this.

Hello,
I installed a Kenwood DNX8120 in my Z. It has the input for a rear view camera. I bought a rear view cam on ebay for $30.99 shipped and it works great. It has the standard yellow video plug and a 12vdc plug. But the neat thing about it is that it also has a +12vdc and Ground wire to give you more connection options. Heres the link. I figured for 30 bucks if it breaks I'll just replace it with another one!
Take care,
Willie

What about???

So...if the back up camera comes with a standard yellow RCA jack, couldn't you just route that to the RCA inputs in the center console (obviously only works for nav cars). The issue would be how do you make the screen go to the aux input whenever you put the car in reverse??

Any ideas?

hummm, I wonder if a Nissan Altima/Rouge Factory Back up camera with Rearview Mirror Screen would work. You lose your Universal Link on the mirror, but it may work. Ummm. I might have to look into this.

That is where the problem is really. Nobody has done a Nav/Video Bypass for the Z yet. I posted a picture thread of how its done for the g37 but to my knowledge no one has attempted it yet.

On a side note has anyone contacted KPtechnologies?

Thanks for the info. I'm sure some of you smart folks will figure it out and then I will copy!! God bless the internet.

By the way, you will have the same car that I do now -- you will LOVE it! It's a hot one! Get home safe and soon.

Does the Nissan Maxima use the same Nav system?

the SV Technology Package includes a "RearView Monitor [2]"
