The GT-R wheel would have been nicer though....although that might upset some GT-R owners, lol. That would be a cool mod come to think of it. It would go well with my GT-R starter button

Hrmmm. That gray doesn't look so bad. More of a "platinum" type color.

The first Z I test drove was Chicane Yellow with Stone White interior. I liked it, but I was too worried about how well the color would wear. Figured it might get dirty or stain too easily. Plus I have always liked dark interiors.

My favorite color combo for the Z is the 40th, though. I love that interior.

Well, black is out. Guy who wraps all my cars is strongly against it, and if he says it's too much work, I promise I will think so even more. Recommended gun-metal gray. Leaning heavily toward it and a gray interior. That gray looks platinum.

If I got black interior, does Nissan offer stitching preferences, or is it all material-color?

On another note, a nearly full wrap with Avery Nanofusion is only going to run me about $1300. Includes front, mirrors, lights, rockers, whole hood, whole fenders (front and rear), and 50% of the roof (might upgrade to full roof, likely will at this price).

No factory stitching options. Easy upgrade though.

You just said the exact same thing I did. When you polish a car that has a clearcoat (and clearcoat IS paint), you can't see it on your rag because, uh, it's clear. That doesn't mean you're not removing paint, because you are, you're just removing clear paint. Single-stage paints don't have any clear on top of the color coat so when you polish those you can actually see the paint that's coming off.

I wish I would've gotten my rocker panels clear-bra'd; they're shredded and I only have 5K miles on the car, but I can always get 'em repainted at some point. However, the car's not a Ferrari or anything...don't you think a nearly full wrap is a little overkill?

Spending $1300 to wrap everything but the hatch, doors, and rear-bumper is far from over-kill. I am not a fan of re-painting anything. Once it leaves the factory, I'm not going to be putting any more paint on it, and I'm going to do my damndest to keep any from coming off of it. I had my Z06 wrapped in all the "bad" areas, and plan on doing the same for the 370Z. However, my Z06 is white. I can BARELY see the lines of the bra. I'd rather do whole panels the next time I wrap, which is why I plan on spending a few hundred $ more this go-around and having every panel I am getting wrapped, FULLY wrapped. No lines.

I promise that a competent shop will charge you more than $1300 to re-paint rockers PROPERLY and PM them well, especially with your silver paint. Silver is a flat out BITCH to PM. Just changing the air-pressure will change the hue of it. Flat out nightmare. I'd rather not.

Little late on this but damn I wish I got my Z in any color than BLACK!!!! I am not a fan of re-painting as well just because for the cost I can just go with FI!
As for swirling... Like another member posted on here on page one I think, if you take care of it you will have no issues which I have been but I am getting really tired of taking my sweet A55 time washing my car to prevent this so I plan to vinyl this b-otch soon, thinking of satin gray... or white...or dark gray... still trying to make my mind up. Hate to thread jack but any suggestions guys? )
