There's a reason Infiniti is stopping the use of self healing paint. When it gets a scratch or swirl, the paint will self heal the first time but one is has healed at that one place, it can never heal there again. It is also a detailer's worst nightmare to polish, ask me how I know.

Not sure I want to dedicate that much to it. How does Gunmetal Gray do at hiding a swirl, in comparison? Sick color combo though. I love me the camel fur! (which I will insist on calling it)

Not much better. I've seen some really swirled up gunmetal cars. a few hours once a year, as well as an extra 15-20 mins to take your time each wash to do it properly isn't really that much in order to keep your car looking nice IMO. once you get into it you start to enjoy it.

You're convincing me.
I guess I'm just a weenie after seeing some dumbass at my old dealership shred some clearcoat in 3 seconds flat with a buffer (he was being a 'tard and turned it up on high when he wasn't getting the results in the time he wanted). I have heard the portercable is foolproof, and seen videos of that guy mashing it into his blue 'vette, but I'm skeptical.

Can I really just buff the whole car out with it using a fine polish and it be okay? Do I need to buff in a certain pattern.direction to avoid "tracks" or anything, or just buff the whole thing however I want, as long as it all gets done?
