When I got mine, the bolts and 3M pad were loose in the box. If you still have it, might be worth a second look as I found mine tucked under a box flap.

Any plans on making one the same spec as the real one? I actually like the middle piece and the fact it uses the Sport spoiler mounting holes. There is a market for a direct 100% replica you know. ;)

Edit. No there is not. :(

I totally would want that too! I think there's a market for it for people who want to do the miso conversion and not want to pay $2k+ for oem

Nope,,, just the middle piece tape,,:shakes head:

So when installing it, you would use 3M double sided tape to cover the whole base though right? Or just slap it on the hatch and bolt down?

Here is a quick Iphone pic. Just installed the Evo R wing today. What a PITA taking the old wing off. Not super impressed with the quality of this wing. But it still looks awesome, and gives the car a much different look.

Can't wait to see it on your car. Post some pics when it's done.

Why don't you like the quality of the spoiler? Is it noticeably cheap?

Its not obvious unless you really look at it. But there are indentations near the center of the wing on the bottom portion where the molds met. It required a lot of sanding, and that part in the center could not be sanded out....It doesnt look horrible or anything, just could be better.

Did you do the install yourself?

Did you use double sided tape on the base where it attaches to the hatch?

Does it require to be assembled (top part) before it gets installed on the hatch?

I used double sided tape to keep it from rattling or moving. Yes the top part has to be installed before it attaches to hatch

It only cost me $200 for the set, I heard a lot of people charge more, but I don't know. Painting chips really easy. Powder Coating they actually put the wheels in a oven and bake it on. It will not chip.

Nice. Thanks for the post.

Jasonle 04-09-2012 07:05 AM

ahhh! Can't decide! This Evo-R high wing or the Seibon NSM wing

jboffill 04-09-2012 12:28 PM

Can someone comment on the quality of the wign, I have been reading mix reviews on it. Also, where would be the best place to get this wing from? A look around video of the wing would be great as well. Again i think we all need to know more info about this product before we make a clear decision on the product.
Thanks again for all the info in advance!

bjblackout 04-09-2012 12:37 PM

I have this wing and I feel the quality is top notch. Got mine from the Z Store. Looks awesome and really turns heads!!

jboffill 04-09-2012 01:30 PM

Also is there a better deal on shipping? $64.00 is killing me.

Verbal21 04-09-2012 01:45 PM

Z stores the only place I've even seen this since I wasn't going to trust eBay. The piece comes in a pretty bug box and the shipping price is definitely more than fair for something if this size...as much as it sucks

I believe your rate should be more like $46.00 shipping.

You should call back for a quote ask for Jon.

Michael

jboffill 04-09-2012 02:35 PM

Thank you for that, at the end of the day i will get it. I was just asking for the sake of finding out the best price. Money is scares now a days so every penny counts. But i will place the order soon enough tho.
Thanks again!

tjlazer 04-09-2012 04:00 PM

might be cuz your east coast. Mine was $40 something.

Read below. I have had it on for about a week now. Its complete garbage. At least my particular one is.

I think the quality is crap on mine. There are indentations in the bottom, the seam is horrible and the part in the center pops off constantly even with the crappy 3m tape they sent in. The thing is total garbarge. Its certainly not worth $400+ dollars.

I didn't know it flares out less than the Stock Nismo wing. The OEM Nismo wing definitely looks better but not at that price tag. It's really hard for anyone to pull the trigger.

Hmm...that angle looks good.

jboffill 04-10-2012 11:19 AM

Damn that blows, i really dont have any other idea on what wing to get right now. I do thank you for your honest opinion.

cooltoy 07-13-2012 11:45 PM

I like the way the Nismo an the Siebon follow the contours of the body panels much better. The High wing drops of too sharply IMO.

Zoren 370 07-17-2012 05:01 PM

Im also thinking of getting this on my GM Z with the CF top.
Anyone here who has the same color and set up?

I don't know but by just looking at the pictures something is not right to my liking? For $549 plus $50 shipping.

I should be expecting 100% top notch quality. But on pictures it doesn't look quality. Sorry for the comment looks like an Ironing Board.

But I still want to have one Im just giving it the benefit of the doubt until I see one in the flesh. Peace! Im not a Hater.:tiphat:

tjlazer 07-19-2012 02:11 PM

I think the quality is great and I don't have issues at all. Look like its OEM and I don't get the bowing. I think it's cause they glued the enter post on. Highly recommend the wing!

scruffydog 07-19-2012 04:46 PM

so I did a quick search, turns out the OEM factory Nismo spoiler is only around $700 not $2000. Did anybody know that? I recently did a search and very surprised to know this.
