key
i have been looking through the manual trying to find a answer but i cant so maybe someone can help
i just bought a new 2011 370Z the key works it will start the car no low battry warning for the key i can unlock/lock the door with the button on the handle but no matter what i try i can not lock/unlock or even get the alarm to work with the actual key any one have any ideas on trouble shooting or anything |
Might have to have the dealer reprogram the immobilizer (key).

It's brand new so go to the dealer and have them take a look at it

Just a shot in the dark but maybe the door button reads for the security imprint on the key and not the electronic fob running off the battery (am I making sense), so it works when your in proximity but the FOB itself doesn't. Try changing the battery.

Your key might have insufficient punctuation to be readable by the car.

thank you guys for the help i have to go back to the dealer today so im going to bring it up hopefully its just a battery change as you say
