if it's cracked down to the resin it's kinda toast... check with the guys that do carbon fiber for advice.
if that was mine i would sand down as much resin off around the area, touch up with some black paint as needed to areas you cant get to (too deep) and clearcoat it. chances are one wont see the touched up black if done correctly. |

My front carbon lip has a few battle scars and I've been talking with local carbon fiber shops. They said they could repair cracks, clips and a large chunk of resin that broke off from hitting a curb. And make it "less" noticeable but they would not be able to make it look new again. A new lip is only $500 so I decided to leave it as is (I know more stuff going to happen) and then I'll replace it instead of repairing it.

If it looks like that its probably cracked all the way down to the resin and actual cf. No way to fix it once it is that bad. The crack can be filled and made smooth again but you'll still see the crack lines in the lower layers. It can be airbrushed and recleared to look less noticeable but the only way to fix and look new again would be to redo the cf. I would suggest one of two things. Either spray with some black paint to kind of blend it to look less noticeable or rewrap the whole piece with new cf.
Option 1 is much quicker and cheaper.

Also, when fixing stuff like that, the new resin that is used to do the repair hardly ever matches the old resin. When I've fixed stuff before the new resin looks perfectly clear and the older stuff has a slight yellow tint. You'd never notice it because the whole piece looks that way but against new resin its very noticeable.
