Mine are holding up great tony ;)

XwChriswX 10-18-2011 10:15 PM

 I wasn't a fan of the red kevlar bit but OMG those look sweet! Can't wait to see installed pics!

Do you think you could do the red kevlar only on the colored portion of an engine cover to match?? :icon08:

I'd love to have my whole engine bay with this.

Is that a Matte coating on it, or just lighting?

I wants installed pics! I'd really like to do this as well, just worried it might be too much Red in the engine bay with the other red mods I have planned...

As asked before, do you need to send these in, or are these a core swap part? Or are these sent to you as replacements?

NewYorkJon34 10-18-2011 10:28 PM

Do you happen to have Kelleyefields hood dampeners?

I have them and I'm worried about having them with these parts and risking cracking the resin. :ugh2:

As for your question yes we have to send them in. That is my actual engine compartment that Tony wrapped with CF of my own choice and twill:tup:

I have red plans too! But its gonna take me around early next year to finish..and i'll be sure to post up pictures once i got them installed:tiphat:

I've also received hood dampers from kellyfields:happydance:

Ok cool, then I'll just need to pop them off and throw them all in a box. Gotta make sure to keep all the little pop rivets in a ziplock bag until he's done. :rofl2:

The red kevlar really looks good man, can't wait... What color is your Z?

I'm wondering if he can do this CF/Kevlar on the colored portion of the engine cover, if so I think that's the icing on the cake.

Cool! just shoot Tony a pm dude:tup:

Mine is white..what color is yours by the way?

I think they can wrap the colored portion too, but the overall look will look too dark imo..

It would be very tough to do a portion of the engine cover....the Kevlar is really hard to work with. But im sure I could do it. May just have to touch up the section of the cover I'm not wrapping with some paint afterwards.

No problem Iwan72 :tiphat:

Im sure ive inspired many people on this thread when it comes to carbon products since I was the first to design/test most of Tony's parts. All of which could not have been accomplished without Tony's help & skill.

I have put the hood dampers on the JDM Password without any problems. I would suggest getting a rubber washer to put between the carbon fiber and the post and do not overtighten and you should be fine.

Tony I attempted just this thing with red as well on minr and failed bigtime. I knew it would look good but just did not have the skills to pull it off. Once I find another set I will send these out to you to have done. You are the man.
