Has anyone taken apart the shift knob or brake lever on an AT7?
I've been looking to add a little color to the interior. I am interested in replacing the leather strip that runs down the center of the shift knob and hand brake lever. Has anyone successfully disassembled these and if so, how is it done?

There must have been at least one brave soul.

Try the search engine again. Some one posted some thing on this awhile ago. For the shift knob you just pull down on the silver part under the handel.
Then you can remove a little silver kinda U shaped clip and it comes off. You might have to check under leather shift boots? I checked it out on mine. It doesn't seem hard at all. Good luck and let us see what you do with yours. |
