Default Windshield Replaced Now Rattling

Windshield replaced under Florida insurance FREE maybe a year or so ago by a private company. They used factory glass. However now the windshield rattles and creaks where it meets the dash at the top of the hood by the wipers. My initial idea is to take apart the plastic and see if I can see something loose but idk

Any suggestions how to start to take apart around that area where the windshield meets the dash (maybe outside by the wipers would work) or any suggestions if someone else had their windshield replaced on the Z or any other car and had rattling/ creaking similar to my explanation

I just had my windshield replaced 2 weeks ago and no rattles yet, time will tell
Why don't you contact the people that did the work and see what they can do?

If you saw the people who did my work you would jump off a cliff so I am trying to be proactive before I resort to that

Call your insurance co. This is unacceptable. Make em find out what the issue is. Could be the beginning of a leak down the road. The guy that replaced my windshield broke both of my A-pillar covers, so I know the type of people that do this repair.

I manage a glass shop up in Canada and may know what the problem is. There could be two issues I can think of that are somewhat common on improper installs.

First off, some windshields have a small foam barrier that fits between the dash and the glass. It is used to prevent a squeaking noise from road vibrations. Some installers will cut this off as it's quite difficult to line up and can look bad if not done properly.

The other thing may be related to the cowl. I've never had mine off so i'm not sure how it's fastened down but if a clip is broken or fractured it can rattle or vibrate from the air pressure when driven and can be quite annoying.

Hope this helps!
