Question on Evo-R LED Fog

Default Question on Evo-R LED Fog

Does anyone have a still pic of the fog on/tails on?

I don't want it to flash, my only reason for considering is because I am hoping the LEDs match the tail lights better than the regular single bulb does.

The LED's are just as bright as the tails, and if you're looking to have a 3rd stop light with LEDs instead of a bulb, I recommend getting the RED one as opposed to the smoked. Unless you have black, then its up to you how you want it. I have mine on and I do have it wired on with daytime lights, and blink on braking. To me its just a lil safety feature since it will attract more attention. Especially to all the drunk people we have driving around here at night.

You know the constant on, brake light flash was really tacky to me at first but it's growing on me. I think I might do that. So am I to understand that the LEDs change brightness? I didn't think that was possible, or is it that you don't get full illumination from all LEDs at constant on.

I believe you do get full brightness from constant on, but that it just blinks on and off for the blink option. Instead of different brightness', I'd have to go outside tonight and take a vid, if you want??

Not trying to highjack the thread but since we are talking about the fog light might as well post my question here and not make a separate topic about it.

anyways, is it possible to just wire the fog light to the wires for the regular break lights? i dont want it to flash or do anything fancy, just lights up when i break

Thats where you wire it up to actually. You can use the wire harness inside the trunk before it goes outside the car, which is the easier way to do it, or you can remove one of the taillights and tap into the wires there.

You can wire it up to come on with your daytime lights, or to blink when you brake or when you put it in reverse. That's about as fancy as it gets. I have mine for 'Constant On' with my daytime lights, and 'Blink' when I hit the brake.

I have the smoked EVO-R fog and have it wired up the same way as ChriswX, with the exception that I put a switch on the wire for the flashing function and mounted it in the center console compartment, so that I can turn the flashing with brake function off. I only use it during track sessions or aggressive street driving lol. It bothered me that if you are sitting at a red light with your foot on the brake, it was just constantly flashing.

I can confirm that with the light simply 'ON' it is a certain brightness, and when the flashing happens it lights up even brighter. Just like the brake lights, where your LED tails light up brighter. I think I have a picture of it at night somewhere so you can see how bright it is. My tails are tinted 5% so the smoked fog matches pretty well, and the light output is about the same. The stock fog light was definitely much brighter however, that thing coulda been used in a light house lol! This one looks much better IMO, with it matching the look of the tailights at night.

There is also a really good description here as well as some videos of it in action. This is where I bought mine from

Does anyone know if the red light is brighter than the smoked one. I bought the smoked one and tinted it a little but I think that messed with the brightness since its not as bright as i thought it would be. Thanks

I just think it's cool to come up at a stop light at night, and see the people behind me looking and pointing at it. It's the little things that make me
