STILLEN Front Fascia questions
Hey guys :hello:
I'm contemplating getting the Stillen Front fascia for my car. I just have a few question: 1. Is there a change in ground clearance between a stock bumper and stillen? As I often scrape the black lip under the stock bumper. 2. Does rain/water (during washing) not get into the inlet designed for the Gen 3 intake? 3. Whatever happened to the brake cooling kit? |
1. it is lower, and sticks out farther. the under lip will still scrape, and the bottom of the front might also scrape. I am actually replacing mine because the back part of the under side scraped too much and disintegrated the mating surface between the under tray and bumper, but mine was really low for a while. On a non-lowered car, you will be just fine.
2. No problems with water, the hole for the air cleaners is horizontal, on the underside of the upper edge of the radiator opening. 3. Apparently, its dead in the water, they have many other more lucrative products to develop before this one. |
Yes there is a small change with the ground clearance (lower). I get scrapping but it is mostly the stock wheel deflectors by the front wheels because my Z is lowered with springs by about 1 inch on all four corners. I live in SoCal and the inclines/declines in the roads can rub the front middle underneath area of the Stillen Facia (if your driving is aggressive on those kinds of roads) but never on a flat roads. Normal driving has no issues. I have had it installed for just under a year now and have not had any trouble. Scrapping marks are light on the underneath rubber (out of sight) and has not affected the mounting or fitment. Hope that helps, good luck and share some pictures after you get it installed.
