The stock fog light in the Z in the US is a dummy light. You need to purchase a new one. But since you already have all the wires run I'd just pick one up from Z1.

Hey no problem man
JDM Fairlady Z Reverse Fog Light There you go. There are a bunch of DIY on the forum about how to remove the dummy light. |

Tap the wire to the brake light or parking light. I tapped mine to the parking light. No switch needed.

Ricardo - go to the DIY section, and you will find a few threads on installing the fog light. Two specifically deal with using the factory harness you found. Utilizing the harness involves tapping into the wiring found in the passenger footwell.
Activating the Rear Fog lamp using (mostly) existing wiring DIY: Rear Fog Light Wire Via BCM and Stock Wiring As an alternative, you can simply wire the light directly into the factory harness found in the trunk. The EVO-R light has two hot leads - one for flash, one for solid on. I plan on wiring the light so it flashes in reverse, and comes on solid when I hit the brakes. Take a look at this thread: DIY: EVO-R Foglight Install Dave took it a bit farther than I will be by installing an on/off switch, but his write-up is exceptional. Good Luck!

One DIY used some type of clip to splice the wires together. That seems like a simpler method than cutting and soldering. Thanks in advance.

Just go to your local hardware shop (Home Depot, Lowes, Ace) They should have them. Just ask the clerk for "18 gauge wire taps" and they will show you. They're basically plastic clips with a metal blade in them. You put the current wire on one side, and your splice wire on the other, press the blade down onto them, and close the cap. Done! No shrink wrap needed, and no soldiering needed.

Thanks spear and Chris!
I know that sounded like a stupid question, but it was the one thing that either wasn't detailed, or I had no experience with. I appreciate your patience with a newby question.
