craftsquare mirors where can I purchase?
The factory mirrors create aline of sight problem. Nissan should have craftsquare type mirrors.

CraftSquare mirrors are not better than OEM, the viewing area is too small.
OEM's are perfectly fine once you properly align them. |
OEM mirror + those little convex mirror = no blind spot

Craftsquares look good, but they do no improve visibility over stock. I've been in a few cars with GT mirrors, including Craftsquares and they're a bitch in everyday use. On top of that, if you do get them, expect to be adjusting your mirrors at least once a week, especially if you ever park the car in a public lot. (People just seem to love to knock into them and throw them out of alignment.) |

I don't like the oem mirrors. They are way too big and (I think) leave blind spots. I also have spot mirrors on them.
I wish there were alternatives, but I haven't found them yet. I like the size of the craftsquare's, but not the looks. They just don't match the car (imo). And I don't like the price. If anybody knows of any good alternatives, I would love to hear about them!! |
I guess I'm in the camp of if it ain't broke don't fix it. In other words, I like my oem mirrors, just my 2 cents. I like how it matches the car, plus it's heated and powered.

I've heard good things about these. My wife is thinking about them for her Mini (tiny mirrors). Doesn't solve the size / placement issue, but should help with blindspots.
Multivex Mirrors - The Most Optically Advancec Vehicle Mirror Systems Ever Developed I don't see the 370Z listed, but I'm guessing they either (a) make them or (b) would make them since they have them for the 350. |

i wouldnt use this on a dd car though as i can see someone hitting the mirror with their bag or purse or something and change angle while parked somewhere. :icon14: |
for those intersted i posted a thread somewhere in the interior section.
|
The Multivex mirrors would solve the problem but they don't make them for the 370Z. They wanted a fair amount of money just to create them.
|
Mirrors? What's that? I just change lanes whenever I want. It seems to work just fine... I don't even have to waste my time to look over my shoulder.
|
What if the mirrors were taken off, side panel filled in with a wide angle camera added to each side?

Why don't you just point your side mirrors out toward your "blind" spots, and use your rear-view mirror for what is behind you. I have no blind spots on the road, aside from cars that are two lanes over and slightly behind me.
Or is the problem just that they are too big for people's liking? |
|
Funny how one says blind spot and people automatically assume they're talking about the reflection blind spot.
|
Funny how people who are taller than 5' 6" can see over the side mirrors just fine.
|
Hey! I resemble that!!! (i.e I'm 5'5" and have to lean forward on occasion)
|
Funny how some newb tries to cover up their shortcomings by changing story. :icon17:

dang, it's like EazyD's pulllng down my pants or something. lol :D
i've mentioned this on other threads and will mention this again. this mirror is great for weekend cars/hobby cars/track cars but i dont recommend it for dailydrivers especially for those that park at stores, etc. the mirrors' angles are adjusted at the pivot point/joint manually. it comes with a lock nut to either lock down completely (race mode) or partially lock (street mode). if you lock the pivot point all the way and if some fatarse chick bumps it with her michelin-style back or her pallet of donuts or watever, the CF mirror housing could potentially break. everytime my kids gets out of my G and walks between my two cars in my garage i remind them not to bump their big heads on the mirror cause i have them locked down fully. :icon17: while craftsquare recommends partial-lock for all street cars the mirror needs adjustment every 300-400miles which is kind of a hassle if you asked me. those are some of the things to watch out for. it doesn't bother me cause my Z is my weekend car and the benefits outweight the concerns by 1000% so it was all worth it to me. :) plus the guy at craftsquare was real nice and kept me updated on progress while building my mirrors. these mirrors are handcrafted. the craftsmanship is amazing, btw. |
