smoked tail lights!! new version!!
 

Overall I think the install and the look turned out great.. i loved totally smoked out tail lights.. but this gives a little more "character" I think to the lights and rear end.. and i feel like its a lot more "legal" ..also i smoked the 3rd brake light.. just a tad lighter then the tails since its dark on a normal basis..

pics shows the comparison of both tails.. and what it looks like when tail lights are on during the day...

Not sure I would feel this on every color but looks great on your car. Could also see it doing well with black and maybe silver. Good job.

Looks great, like CBRich mentioned, I don't think it'll work out too great on other colors.

Looks great with PG :tup: . I think these overlays should look good with white, silver and black. Blue and red color, I am not too sure. Great job. :tup:

thanks yeah.. it looks good with any car with tint IMO.. we didnt get a chance to work on the rear valence but i willl update once that is done next week

Looks good Marcos! Andy wanted to try a darker tint with my tail-lights. he also said he should have the new and realigned rear valence done this week. I will PM you and let you know when he does.

gotta give props out to Ryan for his install job also. That guy does amazing work, and you can ogle over his g35 while hes hard at work too!

That's a really clean job. Sometimes it's hard wrap the lights without having gaps on the edges.

What % tint did you use?

How easy is it to apply and does it bubble over time?

not sure about the % tint.. but its called 6/10 tint... its best to get it installed by a expert because a heat gun is highly recommended.. as far bubbles... it looks great right now no bubble problems... it had been almost a week now though

Is this the same thing as a window tint film, or something more durable? If it IS just window tint film, what makes it special opposed to just having a tint shop do it or just doing it yourself with some tint film?

Once i find the right clear turn signal bulb that will light up amber.. i think it will be a perfect touch for the taillights
