Update on harness bars?

Last time I researched this with a few vendors about 6 months ago there still weren't any racing harness bars in production, anyone have any updates or information on this?

Amuse makes one. If you wanna save some $$, you can always go for custom. Should cost less than $500

Custom would be the way to go.

is the standard rear bar not enough? ive seen a few track cars using them rather than a harness bar for their harnesses.

I wouldn't trust the stock one but if I got a beefed up rear bar I would use that

The problem with the stock bar is it is hollow on the inside and not enough support on each end if you were to crash.

Is there a way to reinforce the stock bar and mounts to make it sufficient?

If you are going through the work of doing that you may as well just replace it with better material from the ground up. That way you are not trusting the original piece which might crack and still fail.

I was thinking of a bar inserted into the stock aluminum one and then triangulated with brackets of some kind to the upper belt mounts. That's kind of what aftermarket harness bars do. Think that might work?
