Default Plasti dipping the entire car!?

the title sums it up.
I've always wanted a flat black car but there is no way I would do a permanent paint job and there is no way I'm paying $1,500 for vinyl wrap soooo
I thought it would be fun to plasti dip the entire car.
I'm estimating it would cost around $200 and if it doesn't work out, I just remove it.

for the people not familiar with this stuff, this is what I'm talking about:
This Plasti Dip product is Awesome!

what do you all think?
any thoughts, comments, concerns and suggestion are welcome.
I might even go flat white.

$1500 would be a bargain for a quality matte wrap.

Personally speaking, I wouldn't do it; I would get the car to a shop and have it professionally wrapped at once. Completely plasti dipping a crappy cheap car... maybe; a 40K car ... that's venturing into super fly ricer territory to me. I ran into a mustang last week, not sure if he plasti dipped or spray canned his entire all, all I know if that it looked like sh&t and every guy walking by his car simply gave the WTF look. Then again, it might turn out decent for you ... who knows... I just wouldn't do it to my car.

I've been discussing this with my bodyshop. We are going to get a small can and see how it sprays. It's a track car after all and I don't really care

read through the first page of that thread and seems that the reason his paint came off is because of the hi-pressure washer.

If you do thick layers the Plasti Dip peels off much easier in big pieces. Im pretty sure the guy that messed up his paint was having a hard time removing it cuz he did thin layers. He ultimately destroyed his paint using the hi pressure wash.

Try spraying water at 1500+ psi on your paint a couple inches away from your car and your paint will come off, with or without Plasti Dip.

I know someone that plasti dipped their entire car... when they took off the plasti, some parts of the OEM paint chipped with the plasti dip... but it was on the car for a LONG time, at least a year

A solvent is probably the best way to remove it.
