Default Rev in tachometer

Is it just the manual transmission 370z that has the word rev in the top center of the tachometer? Do automatic transmissions have this or is that only for the synchro rev matching?

Does it flash in sport mode with the circle also? Or does it just stay lit all the time?

Check this thread out: REV on instrument cluster

It stays lit all the time and does not flash. It's just an indication of what the numbers on the dial mean. Same thing with the "MPH" on the speedo

Does anyone know if the manual transmission tach that has the word rev in the top center will fit in the automatic 370z?

I think it might work since the rev only lights up in the tachometer

Different transmission, probably different harness, probably wont work..

Auto tachs don't have a shift indicator light, and they display different gears (P,D,R, etc) vs the manual transmission (1,2,3,4,5,6 and R)

Why do you want to swap them anyway? Just to get the word REV to light up?
