Bought a used lip where a noobie only put in maybe 2 layers and it was a pita to get off. Use it right, put on atleast 5-7 layers. It's easier to get off and it's the correct way to do it.
...unless you are able to apply thick coats. I only apply 3 to 4 coats however they are thick coats so they last long, it looks great and its easy to take off when its necessary to do so. The only problem with doing a thick coat which you have to be careful of is potential dripping which I learned how to avoid after an initial mishap. Ever since then I only put on those 3 to 4 coats and you can tell when you take it off how thick it really was.

You are correct though that if you're only laying down 2 to 3 coats and they are thin it might not work well and you could potentially run into issues.

Sorry, wasn't refering to anybody specifically but just in general.

I know about WD-40, but plasti dip is made to peel off not stripped off

If someone puts on too little wipe it down with a solevent and add a few more layers then peel it off.

Go to Dipyourcar.com there are plenty of examples of pearl white dips, plus there is tons of info on how to do it right. I have an OE Pearl White Z, the PlastiDip Pearl White is pretty darn close to our OE color, just a shade off (a little more "creamy" looking)

I guess I'm one of the few that don't like the look of plastidipped parts, I opt for getting my parts professionally painted or powdercoated.

Plasti dipping is a great way of determining what color works best for the car without having something permanent or messing it up. At least for me I tried quite a few different colors on my emblems and door handles and some didn't work before I finally did come up with the right combination of colors. Now that I have those colors set I'm going to have them painted since I know I'll never go back to silver emblems and handles. If it wasn't for plasti dip I would have never came to the conclusion I did so it was a great tool to use. Plus even if I stuck with plasti dip it looked great so that would have been the other option for me. I just finally decided that instead of re-doing everything every so often, I'll just make them permanent now.

Your opinion is yours, but as for me I love the idea of being able to COMPLETELY changing the look of my car without affecting the sellability of it. I can Dip my wheels black for less than $50, can't say that about paint or powdercoating. Then if the horrible day came that I had to sell the Z, I can peel it and boom shiny OE wheels. Can you do that with paint/pwdrct? I can also wrap my whole car in Dip, for about $400. If done right it will look as good as any vinyl wrap...oh and then I can peel it off in less than an hour if I wanted.

No PlastiDip will never look as good as a high quality paint job nor, at this time, will it have the same glossy finish. FYI they are working on that....but I can live with that.

I thought your brakes looked familiar! You are gunna be the dip king for 370z's!
Love it.

Honestly not a big fan of the sky or the blue posted above. I really like the azure matte blue that get_lucky threw on his custom Z. Thats really the only blue I like. But I am picky, so my opinion doesn't matter all that much

That white pearl looks great..
