Create Carbon Fiber Look with Plasti Dip - YouTube You can buy red plastidip and black dip. Then get the glossifier to put over the top. Then take pics to show how different real carbon fiber is next to plastidiped panels. I think it would look good after watching the video. But i have yet to try it!

My career is based on fixing and stopping stupidity. The things I see people do everyday defies all logic and common sense. I assume stupidity, it's just easier that way.

There is some new thought that you should not dip and peel, dip and peel. Instead, dip you layers on and the last layer go a little heavier and then peel as soon as you are done applying over the tape. When PD is applied to PD the lower layers reliquify giving you a cleaner line when you peel. I haven't tried it but the dipyourcar forum boys swear by it.
Now for some awesomeness. This weekend I will be blowing the top off of the PlastiDip world when I dip my Z like my lil test ride here. IMG_0281 by DufDaddy17, on Flickr It is actually a black base with a pigment called Interferene Violet in the glossifier. The pigment reflect violet in direct light otherwise the car looks black. The best thing to do is simply scribe the edge with an exacto knife. Use two or three layers of masking tape, and you will have a nice guide for the knife to scribe. You don't have to use a lot of pressure.
