I read on one of the threads that it was much harder to remove (They used a normal gloss coat). however Plastidip has a glossifier, maybe you should look into that.

If you use the plastidip glossifier it's not hard at all. If you use a regular gloss, it hardens the plasti dip and makes it a lot harder to take off. Though you could probably still get it off easier with goo gone than trying to peel it off (which is what I did).

Plastidip red handles and Z emblems
I decided to try out plastidip, which I think looks kinda cool, but im probably getting rid of it because of that rubbery feel.
I also added the font and rear Z emblems |

figured id post this here too...
plastidip'd my ark grip. hate it or love it ...but i love it. blends in with the black diffuser and makes it look much stealthier. especially since the exhaust is freaking loud. |

That is pretty sweet actually. I want this exhaust. "Freaking Loud"... what do you have paired with it? By itself it shouldnt be that loud. I have a muffler delete and i don't even think that its "freaking loud"..

Considering plasti dip is a rubber/plastic based product, I'd be concerned about applying it to an exhaust. How long have you had it on there ?

yes i understand that. did quite a bit of research on this actually. the g37 guys had a thread about it and plastidip will keep its properties until 200F. our mufflers even after extended driving and hard runs will nearly hit 120F. it has quite a bit of time to travel from the exhaust manifold to the muffler so it cools significantly. i drove around for a day (for an hour north, hour back home) and the muffler was hot to the touch, but not burning hot. i could safely put my palm on it so i decided to go ahead and paint it |

AFTER: I know it's not a Z but I did a full dip of my beater truck for fun. The gallons of sprayable dip are so easy to use. I have ZERO car painting experience and this came out awesome! |
