It should not, no. If there's a perforation or tear in the dip, it may promote further separation.

But in Cali you're begging to get pulled over for modifying your taillights

The tinted tails look good but I think your asking for trouble. In the video youre brake lights hardly even attract attention so if you ever get rearended its going to automatically be your fault as the guy behind will just sa he couldnt see any brake lights.

Ive had tinted tails for a year straight and no issues with rear ending

Update: Removed and re-applied with 2 coats instead of 3.

You can BARELY see a little red. But you can see thru the lights perfectly. No blotchy areas. Smooth layer.

Its awesome. & Removable in 30 seconds.
