Don't do that. Few cars caught fire due to use of bad paint on brake calipers. It was nothing serious, but still nothing nice to happen on your Z.

It holds on wheels perfectly fine. I just like my stock wheels better than black. It made the Nismo look $15,000 cheaper....

Tons of people do rims with this stuff. You should have no problems. I have yet to hear of temps being a problem on wheels.

It gets 110 degrees plus around here and theres insane humidity and heat index and I drive hard and the plasti dip held up fine on the wheels. I'm pretty sure it can handle more than 200 degrees. I want to say 225.

I just finished Plasti Dipping my chrome pieces...looks great. Thanks to Tongman for giving me the courage to take a sprayer to my car. Now for the wheels, I have the Rays forged rims, they look tremendous as they are, but I am curious as to how they would look Plastidipped. Oh the hamsters in my brain are a'churnin. BTW, great to be actually on the forum now....I have been lurking way too long.

On track we see rotor temps around 1200F...seeing 600 or so on a windy road is common. The IR gun showed 800f temps on rotors at zdayz. Even with the relatively weak thermocouple, the rims were consistently at 400+ afterwards. It's not much of a stretch to see 300+ on a back road.
