Like someone else said earlier. It's just too easy not to do. I also thought of blacking out the door handles, but I also fear that due to the moving parts, it'll peel with friction too. I'll be testing the product out on my gold rims. I'm sure that will relieve some dislikes from other members here.

yea i feel the same way about the door handles. To many people touch them and use them to swing the door open. Especially if you don't warn them to be gentle it'll eventually rip. I didn't use enough on my rear emblem so it didn't come out perfect, but its good enough. Used 4 coats but didn't use alot around it so it was harder to peel off.

how do you get the cut lines on the edges of the emblems? or does it naturally make the clean line?

also, would have been nice to see the actual spraying in the video to see how far you were, and how many passes etc.

nice job

worth keeping in mind that it doesn't respond so well to heat, and it sometimes makes it tougher to get back off...

Tongman, I'm thinking this is looking really nice on the MB, and I may just have to do the same on mine!

One last thing: Thanks for showing your support for the 80's by playing some Soft Cell during your most instructional video!

Just don't spray your entire car like this guy and have to deal with all the problems. It removed his paint while he was removing it .... Maybe because of the pressure washer

Plasti-dip FAIL: What not to do

after you sprayed the area several times.. did you have to outline the emblem with an exacto knife or razor blade before peeling off the surrounding area?..
