Lol, hey Ken at least it was REMOVABLE. What if you were in that same situation with spray paint. Now that wouldnt be pretty.

Just did my rear valence, so here's a couple pictures. I have to touch up a spot on either side where the spray decided to peel away with the tape. Oh well...the rest of it turned out really well and you can't see the two peeled spots unless you're within a couple of feet.

Quick follow up question to my last post. What do you guys think about spraying the roof with this stuff. So far I have sprayed the emblems, fangs, rear valence, and the mirrors. I don't want to go overboard, but have always liked the black roof look. Too much?

Overboard. IMO. :ughdance:

Might look ok with tinted windows, but I think it is too flat to look good. And the cutoff lines can be hard to get right.

I too had contimplated it for a sec but its overboard. Plus the fact that its textured would be terrible. Roof needs to be silky smooth.

If you go back a couple of pages I have a picture from the front of my car. It shows the mirrors, but not close up. I'll take a picture of just the mirrors tomorrow when it's daylight again.

I cant speak about long term durability as I have only had it done about two weeks now. I have yet to see a chip from rocks. Its rubbery so it will take impacts better than paint. I believe it will hold up good. I actually hit a deer goin about 45 a few days after I plasti dipped the fangs and only a little spot came off , probably where a hoof hit. My advice is do a light coat first, one that you can still see the factory paint thru. This will set a base for the other coats to stick to. After the first do another light coat or two. Give it 10 min inbetween the light coats. After that lay it on thicker. Do as many coats as you please. I figure the more coats the less likey to chip. A good half hour between thicker coats is recommended. I removed my masking less than 24 hrs after applying and it made removal a bit challenging. The plasti dip was still elasticy. Stuck to tape a bit. I would let it sit two days before removing masking. Basically do it once the plasti dip doesnt feel sticky to the touch anymore. It will for a bit after applied. Good luck.
